Our natural secret

Organic produce

Our organic farm covers 10 hectares of grassland, 28 hectares of alpine pasture and 5 hectares of forest. This is where our 10 cows and calves live, grazing from mid-June to September on lush mountain meadows full of alpine herbs and flowers, thus ensuring the best quality meat. We’ve also specialised in breeding and keeping purebred mini Shetland ponies for 25 years. The horses are specially bred and trained for therapy centres for children with learning difficulties and are highly regarded internationally.

Good things from our own farm

Fine, Regional & Original

We process organic products such as milk, eggs and cheese on the Grünegg Alm. Our popular alpine bread is freshly baked by Chef Birgit and your landlord Heinrich never misses an opportunity to smoke delicious bacon for alpine snacks himself. At breakfast, a freshly laid egg from our hens is also a must.

In our Almrestaurant we cook with homegrown products and those from regional suppliers, as we cannot produce everything ourselves. We pay a great deal of attention to the origin and quality of the products so as to serve our guests the best food.

Always keen for a cuddle

Our animal residents

On our organic farm there are lots of animals that are always happy to be petted: dwarf rabbits, goats, sheep, cats and of course our mini ponies. We also have our own budgie enclosure.
Animal welfare is very important to us, which is why we’ve built a new large barn for our animals and take them to the alpine pasture for their daily exercise.
